This place is good for food. Not elegant, not fancy...but simply superb tasty food. Friendly staff.
My only two critique of this place is that the atmosphere feels chaotic because of how busy it is. That said, it is chaotic because it's that good! The service is top notch, every server is essentially checking to make sure you and others at your table have what you need, and the food is out pretty quickly and never in small portions. Prices are competitive and the selection, though similar to what you may see at other traditional Mexican restaurants, still packs a flavor all its own while remaining true to the cuisine. I would recommend a Picada if it's your first time, with plenty of water and an agua fresca - my personal favorite is the horchata. And try the house salsas, the red - to me - was the spiciest, and the green not so much, but both have great flavors that further enhance whatever you decide on. Plenty of high chairs for littles, but space is a hot commodity - make sure you call ahead to have seats ready when you arrive.
Amazing food! In my group we all tried different entrees and everyone loved each of their dishes. Even the salsa was delicious! Definitely not a run-of-the-mill establishment.
I came here once before and never left a review. We decided to come back like 4 years later and omg the food didn't disappoint!!! They now have a full service bar and have made the place bigger! We ordered 2 burritos and I ordered mine with everything and my daughter just wanted hers with chicken and rice inside. Well I thought for sure her burrito would be smaller since it had a lot less ingredients. Nope, it was the same size as mine! The burritos were so big we could only eat half of it! My son got tacos and they had a great portion of meat and my husband ordered tacos also. We all enjoy the food! They give you the right portion of food for the price!! My kids didn't want to try this new place out since it had been years since we last came but now beg to go back again.
This is a great Mexican street style restaurant in flowery branch GA. It's just down from the square alittle ways. It's a trendy hip restaurant with an exposed kitchen prep area. It's mostly tables and very few booths. Dinner is a crowded time but the service was prompt and very good. My SO and I had mostly tacos and street style tacos; grilled shrimp, al pastor, streak, pollo, and chorizo are all good. My grilled taco was my fav and hella good. The chips are good; not to thick or thin. The salsa is excellent with a nice spice hit but not mouth burning. Definitely check this place out if your in the area. We will definitely be back. :) 2025 Update :) We stopped by for an early dinner. Even at 5pm this place is popular. I can say this place is still awesome. Still delicious Mexican inspired food. The carne asada was hella good. If you have still never eaten here, do yourselves a hella favor and check it out.
My husband and I tried this place for the first time today based on the good reviews, and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious, portion sizes were generous for the price, and the service was great. The warm chips and fresh salsa were awesome. My husband had the torta and I got the chicken burrito de la casa. Both were so yummy (and we took half home to eat later!). This is going to be a frequent stop for us from now on.
Wow! We tried this restaurant a few years ago when we had just moved to town. We loved the food then but were bummed they didn't yet have a full-service bar with margaritas. Well, they have now expanded the restaurant to include the bar, and the food is still just as delicious as before—maybe even better. We dined in with our neighbors and had a nice spot in the moody bar area. Our server was friendly and attentive. My party ordered margaritas from the robust drink menu and various options from the dinner menu. My husband had a gigantic burrito, and I had the steak quesadilla. It was all so good. I've had cravings to go back ever since. The food options are priced nicely, with 11-15 being the general price range for an entree. The margaritas are a bit pricey at 14 each. Unless you want the bulk of your bill to be on alcohol, you'll need to make a wise decision with the drink menu. With so many options, it's hard not to want to order two or three!
If you find yourself in Flowery Branch with a craving for amazing Mexican food, this is your 1 stop. Service is super friendly, the food is amazing with big portion sizes, and the prices are very reasonable. The sauces are delicious but that red sauce should be Bottled up and in stores!
